Who we are

Unified Insight is a consulting firm based in Virginia that helps new and growing nonprofits with strategy, formation, operations, technology, marketing, fundraising, and government and corporate relations. This website is our public home and the main way people first get in touch.

What we collect

The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to send us through the contact form:

• Your name and email address.
• Your organization’s name, if you provide it.
• The subject you choose and the message you write.
• Whether you ticked the box agreeing to receive occasional emails from us.
• The date and time you sent the message, and the page you sent it from.

We do not ask for, and you should not send, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.

How we use it

• To read and reply to your enquiry.
• To keep a record of enquiries so we can follow up and keep track of conversations.
• If, and only if, you ticked the consent box: to send you occasional emails about Unified Insight, such as news or new services.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Emails from us

You will only receive marketing or update emails from us if you ticked the consent box when you contacted us. You can stop them at any time by replying to any such email or by writing to contact@unified-insight.com. Replies to your enquiry are not marketing and are not affected by that choice.

Who handles the information on our behalf

A small number of service providers process information for us so this website can work. Each acts on our instructions and is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes:

• Sanity (sanity.io): securely stores the website’s content and the enquiries submitted through the contact form.
• Resend (resend.com): delivers the email notification of your enquiry to our inbox.
• Vercel (vercel.com): hosts the website and keeps the technical logs described above.
• Google Search Console: tells us how the site appears in Google search results. It does not receive any personal information about visitors from this website.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics that follow you across sites. The only cookies involved are the ones Sanity uses to keep authorized Unified Insight staff signed in to the content-editing screen, which visitors never see.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information.
• Stop sending you emails.

Email contact@unified-insight.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm you are the person the information is about.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us, including using providers with strong security practices and limiting who at Unified Insight can access enquiries. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

This website is intended for adults working with or founding nonprofit organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be explained here in plain language.
